At Aflah, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Islamic productivity application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information: Location Data: With your permission, we collect your location to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. This data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers. Calendar Data (Privacy First): With your permission, we access your device calendar in READ-ONLY mode. We display your existing events alongside prayer times to help you plan your day, but we never store your calendar event titles, descriptions, or personal details. Event information is anonymized and only time blocks are shown. We do not write to or modify your calendar in any way. Authentication Data: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier, email address (if provided), and display name. This enables cross-device synchronization of your data. Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app experience, such as which features are most used and app performance metrics. Learning Progress: Your Quran memorization progress, prayer completion records, and personal goals are stored to track your spiritual journey.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: - Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location - Display your calendar events alongside prayer times (read-only, anonymized) - Enable cross-device synchronization when signed in - Track your learning progress and streaks - Send prayer reminders and notifications (with your permission) - Improve our app and develop new features - Process subscription payments through RevenueCat

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Most of your data (prayer times, learning progress, settings) is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. Cloud Sync: If you sign in with Apple or Google, your data is synced to our secure cloud infrastructure powered by Convex. This enables access across multiple devices. Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption. No Sale of Data: We never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: For secure authentication without passwords. These services provide us with a unique identifier and optional profile information. RevenueCat: To manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes payment information securely. Convex: For secure cloud data synchronization across your devices. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data.

5. Your Rights

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you use the app. If you delete your account: - Local data is removed when you uninstall the app - Cloud-synced data is deleted within 30 days - Anonymous analytics may be retained indefinitely

7. Children's Privacy

Aflah is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
